Kids Sewing Day Set For July 12

Each year, CoxHealth volunteers create thousands of blankets and pillows that are given to patients in the hospital. On Friday, July 12, local kids are especially invited to help create even more items at the 2019 Kids Sewing Day, an annual event filled with fun, food, team building – and, of course, lots of sewing.

All kids ages 5 and up are invited to the event, regardless of previous sewing experience. It is free to participate, but children must have a parent or guardian on the premises the entire time. Lunch will be provided.  

The sewing day runs from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will be held in Room A-200 at Cox North Hospital (1423 N. Jefferson Ave., Springfield). Participants should enter through the Cox College or FMCC entrance and take the south elevators to the second floor.
