Cox HealthPlans President Guest Speaker at SAHU Meeting.

The Springfield chapter (SAHU) of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) recently welcomed Cox HealthPlans President, Matt Aug and State Senator Eric Burlison as guest speakers.  SAHU represents licensed health insurance agents/brokers, general agents, consultants and benefit professionals in the greater Springfield area and is one of 200 chapters across the U.S.   The association provides its members with ongoing industry education and advocates their interests at the state and federal levels “to promote affordable and responsible private health insurance market solutions.” 

Mr. Aug presented updates to attendees regarding the most recent legislative updates for bills or proposed bills affecting the health insurance industry, particularly from the health plan perspective.  State Senator Burlison spoke on several legislative topics as well from the State perspective.
