Cox HealthPlans, an affiliate of CoxHealth, provides insurance solutions for nearly 45,000 members across Missouri and throughout the nation. Locally owned and managed in Springfield, Mo., we employ more than 85 staff members with special expertise in Medical Management, Claims Processing, Member Services, Finance, Underwriting, Information Technology, and Marketing. Their dedication and knowledge base provide you with the highest quality customer service, accurate and timely claims payment, and expert medical management you’ve come to expect from a leader in the health care industry.

Cox HealthPlans Senior Staff Members
President and CEO Jeff Bond joined CoxHealth in 1993 as Director of the Center for Environmental and Occupational Health, where he established a Workers Compensation Specialty Clinic and, in 1995, was instrumental in launching Cox HealthPlans. He was named Cox HealthPlans President in 2002, after initially filling marketing and operational management roles. A graduate of Missouri State University, he has also held senior management positions in the financial services industry and currently serves as a board member for the Missouri Health Insurance Pool.
Chief Financial Officer Matthew Aug, CPA, joined Cox HealthPlans following eight years as a Manager for BKD, CPAs and Advisors, specializing in audit, compliance and reimbursement work for various healthcare entities. He is an active member of Sunrise Rotary Club of Springfield and serves on the Finance Committee of Habitat for Humanity of Springfield. A graduate of Missouri State University, he obtained his CPA license in 1997.

Cox HealthPlans has an independent Board of Directors comprised of business leaders throughout Southwest Missouri.
Cox HealthPlans Community Outreach
Located in the Heart of the Ozarks, Cox HealthPlans is actively involved in the community. We are always looking for opportunities to give back to those in need, while partnering with organizations who share our commitment of serving those close to home. We are happy to share our experiences in hopes of inspiring others to do the same.
The Institute for Health and Productivity Management (IHPM) announced in February 2010 that Cox HealthPlans was selected to receive a 2009 Value-Based Health Award for small employer. Cox HealthPlans was recognized for demonstrating leadership and innovation in value health management, in support with our work with the employers of Southwest Area Manufacturers Association health benefit design. VBH is an employer led movement to advance Value-Based Health and its resulting improvements in the health and productivity of employees.
