Recognizing
Cancer
Patients

A cancer battle takes incredible strength, and the courage necessary for such a struggle deserves recognition. Help honor and memorialize the people who have experienced such a fight this holiday season through the CoxHealth Foundation’s “Knot Forgotten” Christmas trees. It’s the decorations that make these trees special: Each one is adorned with festively colored “knots” (bows) in honor or memory of cancer patients.

Every bow has a card attached with the donor’s name, as well as the name of each honoree. If desired, one can also add a special message with words of encouragement. In Springfield, trees are displayed at Cox South’s North lobby and West Pavilion, and in Hulston Cancer Center.

Bows are $10 and may be purchased through Dec. 31 at Allenbrand Resource Center inside Hulston Cancer Center, in the North lobby and in the West Pavilion lobby of Cox South, or online at www.coxhealthfoundation.com. Proceeds benefit the Glauser Oncology Fund’s Patient Advocacy Program, which helps patients with free medications, travel assistance, nutritional supplements and supportive medical care in the hospital and at home.

Cox Medical Center Branson is also participating in Knot Forgotten, and proceeds benefit health and wellness projects in Stone and Taney counties through the Skaggs Foundation. Bows may be purchased at SkaggsFoundation.org, by calling 417-348-8998, by visiting the Skaggs Foundation office (101 Skaggs Road, Suite 404, Branson), or at a kiosk inside Cox Medical Center Branson.
